Synopsis

Commissioned by the United Nations to mark its historic 80th Anniversary, Living Legacy was a high-profile cultural evening and cinematic project curated to explore eight decades of global diplomacy, human rights advocacy, and collective progress. Anchored by an original film directed by Sylvia Zakhary & Sing J Lee for the occasion, the evening merged with a live performance by Tiwa Savage and institutional storytelling to examine the UN’s enduring mandate in a rapidly evolving world. Featuring appearances, contributions, and artistic interventions from global leaders, diplomats, and visionary artists, the initiative translated complex historical legacies into a poignant visual narrative.
